Dr. Jacobs specializes in eye plastic surgery, facial reconstruction and cosmetic surgery, plus Botox wrinkle relaxer applications. Dr. Jacobs has over 10 years experience as a physician specializing in ophthalmology and cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Jacobs received his medical doctorate from the Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City in 1992. He did his medical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Jacobs did a fellowship in Orbital and Oculoplastic Surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, Los Angeles and received further training in facial plastic and cosmetic surgery at The Morrow Institute, Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage California. In addition to his private practice responsibilities, Dr. Jacobs has been a Clinical Attendant at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles since 1997. Dr. Jacobs is a board-certified Ophthalmologist and is also board-certified in Cosmetic Surgery by the American Boards of Ophthalmology and Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Jacobs is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a member of the American Medical Association, California Association of Ophthalmology and Los Angeles County Medical Association.
Dr. Jacobs has published several articles and given numerous presentations in his field He has been a course instructor for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Jules Stein Institute on such topics as “Cosmetic Blepharoplasty,” “Ophthalmic and Facial Skin Resurfacing,” “Blepharoplasty and Laser Resurfacing,” “Advanced Techniques in Orbital Decompression and Expansion,” “Cosmetic Oculoplastic Surgery” and “Workshop in Face-lifting Techniques in Oculoplastic Surgery.”
