Latisse® solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, fuller and darker. Latisse® dramatically improves your eyelashes, growing them longer, thicker, fuller and darker. Full results are seen within 12-16 weeks. Like liquid eyeliner, Latisse® is simply applied once a day, usually in the evening, to a clean upper eyelid with a sterile applicator.
At Harvard Eye Associates, you will received the benefits of a free consultation with our Aesthetic RN, in a relaxed environment where your options will be thoroughly discussed and explained.
Great eyelashes don't just happen overnight. That's why it's important to note that Latisse® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% works gradually and remarkably - with full results at week 16. Once you begin, you must continue applying the topical solution each night and follow the directions for best results. Remember, results are gradual over time. And also remember, if you stop using Latisse® at any time, your eyelashes will return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.
Latisse® works from the inside out. As the treatment progresses, you'll first begin to see changes in length. Then, gradually, you'll notice more thickness and darkness in your lashes. If you're satisfied with your results by week 8, don't stop there. Stick with the treatment. After week 16, you'll see the full effect of Latisse® solution — and so will others. After that, you can talk to your Harvard Eye Associates aesthetician about ongoing use.
Our Latisse® clinical study was conducted at 16 sites across the country and included 278 participants, featuring women and men of various ages (22 to 78), backgrounds and eye colors. By week 16, the results showed that Latisse® was effective for 78% of those participating (vs 18% for the vehicle group).
Latisse® solution is a once-a-day treatment you apply yourself each evening to the base of the upper eyelashes much like you would liquid eyeliner. You should prepare the eyelid by cleansing the skin thoroughly before application. DO NOT APPLY in your eye or to the lower lid because excess hair growth outside the treatment area may occur. For complete instructions please ask your Harvard Eye Associates Facial Aesthetics Expert for a demonstration. You can also review the
Latisse® website for instructions here.
Latisse® users may see results at 8 weeks with full results at 12 to 16 weeks. The growth is gradual, overnight and over time.
If you miss an application or a few, don't try to catch up. Just apply the Latisse® treatment the next evening and stay on schedule.
If you stop using Latisse® , your eyelashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.
Contact lenses should be removed prior to application of Latisse® and may be reinserted 15 minutes following its administration.
Latisse® solution is an ophthalmic drug product. If any gets into the eye, it is not expected to cause harm. The eye should not be rinsed.
