Carole Van Straten
Hearing Instrument Specialist, Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser
Carole Van Straten is a Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser. She earned her license in 2000 after receiving her training with the Beltone Academy in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She has served as a trainer and supervisor for over 10 years.
Carole is proficient in the areas of audiometric measurement to detect hearing loss, counseling for acceptance and overall improved experience with hearing aids, digital and analog hearing instrument technology, psychoacoustics of physical hearing aid fittings, and hearing aid repair.
After working with hearing aids and monitoring some of the common issues that presented during the normal maintenance period, Carole introduced the 10-point ICP – a process that guarantees consistency and accuracy in hearing instrument maintenance. This resulted in higher patient satisfaction and assisted with troubleshooting some of the most common hearing aid adjustments needed during maintenance.
Carole’s approach to hearing care is personalized and continuous. She enjoys getting to know each one of her patients and helping them achieve a better quality of life.
Outside of work, Carole has volunteered for many years in senior residential communities and senior centers. She also enjoys spending time participating in outdoor activities with her three grandchildren and two dogs.
“Fitting the right solution for hearing loss is only part of the process of proper hearing care. Taking the time to listen to the needs and desires of my patients is paramount. I enjoy getting to know each one of my patients and assisting them with finding the right hearing aid solutions that will help enhance their quality of life.”
